Gracey curettes are also know as "Area Specific Curettes". All gracey have one cutting edge on the lower side of the blade and a rounded toe. When re-sharpening a gracey blade, sharpen the lower edge and the the toe only. A complete set of gracey curettes would include one for anteriors, one of the buccal and lingual surfaces of pre-molars and molars, One of the medical surface of pre-molars and molars and one of the distal surface of premolars and molars.
